The first game of 2018 was a huge success for the KM Utd U10s boys. They travelled across the water to Paignton Villa and the team started the new year as they mean to go on.

The first quarter started slowly, with both teams getting back ito the swing of things since their last matches more than a month ago. KM opened the scoring with George I and Ethan, and then Louis.

There was some great passing play between midfielders Billy and Leo and their

teammates up front, and these two boys also got on the scoresheet for KM.

The defence was solid, with Harry, Thomas and Jack protecting the keeper George C and making it difficult for Paignton get a shot on goal.

The subs Sam and George made great efforts during the game and were deservingly awarded men of the match.

Coach Vaughan Bowden said he was delighted with how the boys looked for space and were unselfish with their passing for goal opportunities, really playing as a team.
