Staff at Totnes opticians and audiologists have raised £200 for a breast cancer charity by dressing in pink for a fundraising event.
The team at Specsavers Totnes, in Fore Street, took part in Wear It Pink, wearing their brightest pink outfits and holding a raffle for a gift basket.
The event raised money for Breast Cancer Now, the UK's leading breast cancer charity, which funds research and provides support for people affected by the disease.
Wear It Pink takes place every year as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with thousands of people across the country dressing in pink at work, school and in their communities to raise money.
Breast Cancer Now was formed in 2019 following the merger of Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now, bringing together support services and research funding.
The charity's ambition is that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live and be supported to live well.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the UK, although men can also develop the disease.
As well as funding research into better treatments and a cure, the charity works to help people cope with the practical and emotional impact of a diagnosis.
The charity has raised over £45million across more than 20 years of fundraising.
More than 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK, while over 61,000 people are living with secondary breast cancer. Around one in seven women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime.
Specsavers UK and the Republic of Ireland stores and support teams gave more than £1.6 million to charities and good causes in 2025.
They are committed to supporting people experiencing homelessness through their continued work with their charity partners Crisis, Vision Care, Big Issue, Focus Ireland, Simon Community and Every Youth.
