Petroc Division 1

Okehampton Women's 2nd XI. 2

Ashmoor Women's 1st XI. 1

ASHMOOR Women's 1st team suffered a narrow defeat at Okehampton. They fell behind midway through the first half, but a good spell of pressure led to Bea Beswick equalising just before halftime.

After the interval, it was an even match with both sides having chances to win the game. However, the home team were awarded a penalty stroke with just over ten minutes to play, and that goal proved the difference between the sides.

Emmy Buckman was Ashmoor's Player of the Match for a tireless display in midfield.

This weekend the women's team travel to play Teign.

South Division Two.

Ashmoor Men's 2nd XI. 6

Bodmin Men's 1st XI. 1

Ashmoor Men's Second team produced another excellent performance to sweep aside Bodmin at their Totnes base.

Youngster Henry Walker opened the scoring on ten minutes from a penalty corner and then doubled Ashmoor's lead midway through the first half after good work by Tyrone France. Phil Hampson made it 3-0 at halftime.

Although Bodmin pulled a goal back, Ashmoor's strength told in the last quarter of the game when Charles Walker scored twice and Dan Cowdry rounded off matters with the sixth.

The win sets up a thriller this weekend when Ashmoor host Ocean City, the only team with a 100% record in the division. Meanwhile, the Men's 3rd team play 'away' against Dart 1st XI.
