Cyberage whizzkid!

A 13-year-old Totnes student has become one of the youngest software developers in the world at the start of what could be a stratospheric career.
Orion Trenshaw-Leggett has launched his own three-dimensional drawing application – Lineweb – with the computer giant Apple, after his potential was spotted by a company employee.
And the teenager admits that the late Steve Jobs, the former boss of Apple who tragically died of cancer last year, is the kind of man he eventually wants to be.
In the meantime he is backing education secretary Michael Gove’s plans to reinvigorate the ICT curriculum in England’s schools after hearing the minister describe it as ‘a mess’ which must be radically revamped.
Mr Gove has claimed the ICT curriculum is demotivating and dull.
‘Children are being forced to learn how to use applications rather than how to make them.
‘They are becoming slaves to the user interface and are totally bored by it,’ he said.

Meadowbrook put in a creditable display to draw with a team that thrashed them in the first match of the season.
The pre-match team talk by Brook’s management team made it clear to the players that only a wholehearted and totally commited performance would be acceptable. The players duly delivered a fine performance and, in the end, came very close to taking all three points.
Brook were penned into their own half for much of thr first half and owed much to the solid defending of Fenegan and manager Boon, who has at last discarded the goalkeeping gloves and been restored to his usual position in the back four.
Just when Brook thought they had reached half-time with their goal intact they were rocked by a highly disputed goal. With the home linesman flagging furiously for offside, the Waldon striker converted a through ball and the referee waved away Brook’s protests.
