NEWTON Abbot Buzzards are confirmed as the first division champions for the third successive season thanks to a 7-3 victory over NA Owls.
An Aarish Maharjan maximum helped Brixham Sharks, in the runners-up spot, to a 7-3 win over NA Eagles.
There is a scrap going on in division two for the runners-up position, Brixham Trawlers have already been crowned champions.
NA Raptors won 6-4 against Torbay Academy 2 and have the chance next, in their final game, to overtake Teignmouth Aces and Torre Vikings.
It’s also very tight at the top of the third division. NA Kestrels’ 9-1 victory over Brixham Gulls keeps them at the top of the tree, but they have played a game more than their challengers.
NA Harriers in second and Torre Spartans in third both collected seven points this week. The Harriers defeated the Taverners, while the Spartans saw off the challenge from Torbay Academy 4.
Torbay Academy 5 are not out of the picture at the top as they defeated NA Kites 8-2.
Grove Tigers’ domination of the fourth division continued with another whitewash victory as Jeff Cornish, Peter Daly and Nigel Langley demolished NA Vultures who failed to win a single game.
Teignmouth Delinquents and Torbay Academy 6 are battling it out for the runners-up spot. It was advantage Teignmouth Delinquents as they defeated Torbay Academy 7, 9-1 aided by maximums from Andy Clitheroe and Blake Bellham. Torbay Academy 6 beat NA Merlins 7-3 but are now five points behind the Delinquents with just one match to play. A Will Mulholland maximum helped Brixham Seals to a 7-3 victory against NA Ospreys.
Torbay Academy 5, who are going well in both cup competitions, booked their place in the singles handicap cup semi-final with an excellent 21-11 victory over NA Harriers.
Teignmouth Aces marched into the doubles handicap cup semi-final with a 24-12 victory over Torbay Academy 3.
