THERE were two double floppers this week in the Totnes Skittles League, one from James Prout for the Millers with a 21 and the other from Outsiders’ Laura Vaughan, with a 24.

In the men’s league, Panthers had to borrow a player, Mark Northway, who scored 99 for their games against the reigning champions Fords, as they fell to a 499-462 defeat. Matthew Monaghan scored 94 with five spares, two unfortunate ones of a nine and 10.

Ben Trant from Fords scored 93 with three spares and Richard Murch was close behind with 91.

Fred Farleigh from Wrecks scored 98 with three spares, Wrecks winning by four against the Bullets with Ray Prowse scoring 86 with three spares.

Woodpeckers won their game against the Offcuts by two with Duncan Chapman from the Woodpeckers scoring 89 and Darren Lee from the Offcuts scoring 93.

TRFC played the Millers, scoring 418 against their 460. Mike Edmonds, from TRFC, scored 84 with three spares and Andy Endicott scored 90 with three spares. As previously mentioned, James Prout scored the double flopper of 21.

Onto the ladies league and the Outsiders scored 309 to the 296 of Meadowbrooks. Laura Vaughan and Sam Hodge had 82 apiece whilst Emma Challis scored 80 and Caitlyn Knell was close behind on 79.

Odd Westons played All Stars, scoring 297 against their 270. Marie Trant from the All Stars scored 76 with two spares and Val McGall scored 90 with two 17s and a 16.

Gems played against Alley Cats, with the Alley Cats winning by 10 pins, Gems scoring 245 and Alley Cats scoring 255. Top scores: Wendy Northway on 75 and Sara Neville from the Alley Cats, 86 with two spares.

Diamonds played against the Fordetts with Diamonds scoring 260 and the Fordetts scoring 311. Emily Stolworthy from the Outsiders scored 80 to the 76 of Diamonds’ Sonia Edwards.
