TOTNES Bowling Club kicked off their 2026 outdoor season on Saturday, April 4, with the two club champions rolling the first bowls.

Men’s champion John Roberts and ladies’ champion Di Fletcher were the two to get proceedings underway.

On a dull and somewhat inclement day, the opening session was attended by a large group of club members with over 20 remaining to take part in a roll-up competition despite the damp conditions.

The forthcoming season kicks off with a number of friendly matches against local clubs with the other competitive league matches beginning towards the end of April.

Totnes BC has entered two teams into the men’s Mid Devon Leagues, one team in the Ladies South Devon League, one team in the over 55’s League together with a team in the Riviera Mixed League and the Ladies Triple Challenge as well.
