SAM Balsdon of Dartington Squash Club is set to take on a huge test at the beginning of August.
On the first of the month, he will be battling the Great Norse Run which is 209 miles in eight days, taking him from the north coast of Iceland to the south.
All of this will be done in aid of the Farmers Community Network (FCN), a charity close to Sam’s heart, which helps with the mental welfare of members of the farming community.
His training has been restricted due to an achilles injury sustained at the French Squash Masters in Marseille four weeks ago but he remains fit and firing.
On the topic of squash and Sam is actually a Guinness World Record holder; for the person in whose lifetime has played the most competitive games of squash in the world, at a whopping 4608.
