Firefighters at Totnes Fire Station have swapped structural firefighting gear for PT kit as it was time for their annual fitness test.

With the watchful eyes of the Fitness Advisors keeping everyone honest, the crew battled through the test in what can only be described as less-than-ideal conditions.

Firefighters have to reach 42 on the V02 Max or a minimum level 8.8 on the 20-metre bleep test.

They celebrated everyone successfully completing the test with the traditional post-fitness recovery protocol of tea and doughnuts.
