The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms in the South Hams.

The warning comes into force at 6pm on Tuesday, July 23, and will affect parts of the country until 9am on Wednesday, July 24.

The Met Office said scattered storms could cause power cuts and travel delays in some places.

There is also a small chance of property damage from lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.

Driving conditions could also be affected by spray, standing water or hail, leading to longer journey times.
