“It was a really lovely atmosphere”, PC Loxton said, “everywhere we went people were clapping us, thanking us for our service and shaking our hands. And photos, so many photos!”
PC Loxton thinks he might be the subject of “hundreds” of selfies requested by tourists, especially since himself and colleagues were wearing the traditional tall custodian police helmets, something very unique to the British police.
While controlling crowds moving through metal detectors before entering Windsor, PC Loxton sadly didn’t see any of the parade but did see “some amazing dresses and outfits, some people who I think were hoping they could tempt Prince Harry away from his wedding and home with them, and so many Union Jacks!”
He said the whole event was very happy and “a really nice day”, where as far as he could tell from police radio channels, not a single person was arrested.
