A luxury boutique South Hams hotel is offering free stays to frontline NHS staff – and wants local residents to nominate their ICU heroes.
Salcombe Harbour Hotel and Spa is part of the Harbour Hotels group, which wants to show its gratitude to NHS doctors and nurses working tirelessly in the fight against Covid-19.
The group is asking for nominations of NHS intensive care unit heroes, and will pick 250 of the nominees to receive a complimentary two-night getaway at any of its hotels across the South West.
A hotel spokesman said: “Whilst we have all been showing our gratitude to the NHS frontline staff for working tirelessly in the fight against the coronavirus with the weekly #clapforcarers, we want to say our own special thank you.
“To express our appreciation, we are donating 250 complimentary two-night getaways (about one per ICU unit), including dinner and breakfast, at any of our hotels across the south of England for ICU staff.”
To nominate your NHS ICU hero, visit the Harbour Hotels Collection Facebook page and tag the your nominee in the comments, briefly explaining why you have put them forward.
Nominations close at 6pm, on Friday May 1, 2020 and the 250 nominees will be selected at random.
