A GP surgery in Salcombe has received the highest possible patient satisfaction rating in the latest NHS GP Patient Survey, with all surveyed patients rating it as good or very good.

The GP Patient Survey assesses patients’ experience of healthcare services provided by GP surgeries, including experience of access to GP surgeries, making appointments, the quality of care received from GPs and practice nurses, satisfaction with opening hours and experience of out-of-hours NHS services.

The survey also includes a number of questions assessing patients’ experience of NHS dental services.

These are the latest official statistics for England for the GP Patient Survey, published on July 9.

This presents the results of aggregated data collected by online and postal surveys from January 2 through to April 13.

It assesses patient experiences with GP access, appointments, care quality, NHS pharmacy services, and dental care.

It is managed independently by Ipsos for NHS England.

IPSO is a global market research and consulting firm with its headquarters in Paris.

As in every year, the questionnaire content was reviewed to ensure it reflects the primary care context and priorities.

At the worst rated surgery in England only one in seven patients ranked the surgery as ‘good’.

They have been ranked by the overall percentage of surveyed patients ratings of ‘good’ or ‘very good.

The scores range from Redfern Health Centre in Salcombe at 100 per cent to Lisson Grove and Woolwell Practice (amalgamated) with 75 per cent.

The NHS surveys patients views on their surgery every year in the GP Patient Survey.
