VOLUNTEER gardeners from Dartmouth Green Partnerships have added to the ‘floral walk’ they’ve been creating along the riverfront in Dartmouth.

Thirty-five new planting troughs have been carefully put in place. They extend the group’s popular planting displays to now cover the whole length of the Embankment from the Higher Ferry to Bayard’s Cove.

Kathy Stansfield, secretary of Dartmouth Green Partnerships, said: “The troughs have been paid for with the help of our generous South Hams Councillors. We now have a total of over 60 railing planters, which will provide colourful and varied displays all year round.

“If anyone would like to sponsor one of these new troughs as an individual, a family, in memory of a friend or relative, or as a business, please contact our treasurer Tessa de Galleani on 07966630669. A sticker will be put on your trough with the name or business advertised on it. Please help us to continue making Dartmouth attractive.”
