In this week’s Totnes Times, we lead on a story about one of the 10 families asked to move house by South Hams District Council because it wanted to use their homes for temporary accommodation for homeless families. But this particular family said it has given them 'anxiety' because they weren’t able to cook Christmas dinner at home because they still didn’t have a working cooker.

Our picture story is of a family donning Christmas reindeer and Santa hats during the last official beach clean of the year. More pictures and the story are inside.

Also inside, we have a story about using the power of social media wisely, and a story about Devon & Cornwall Police being given permission to double the precept for policing for council tax payers next year.

As always, we feature information about ’What’s On’, around the clubs, and ’Village Voices’ all inside.

Remember if you can’t get to the shops, or you have moved out of the area, you can get all South Hams Newspapers online here: http://www.southhams-today.co.uk/subscribe.cfm.
