Covid cases have risen throughout the South Hams in the week to January 4.

The highest rise was in Salcombe, Malborough and Thurlestone with a rise of 261.15% that’s 47 cases taking the total to 65 or 1251.2 per 100,000 people.

The second highest rise was in Yealmpton, Modbury and Aveton Gifford with 113 cases- a rise of 71 cases which is a 169% increase to 1442 cases per 100,000.

Kingsbridge followed with 64 cases which is a rise of 31 or 93.9% equating to 990.6 per 100.000 people.

Woolwell and Lee Mill were next with 93 cases up 44 which is 89.8% or 1508.5 cases per 100,000

Loddiswell and Dartington followed with 82 cases an increase of 36 which is 78.3% or 1112 per 100,00 cases.

South Brent and Cornwood had 108 cases which is a rise of 45 or 71.4% to 1281 cases per 100,000.

Wembury, Brixton and Newton Ferrers were next with 93 cases, an increase of 38 or 69.1% which is 1325.7 per 100,000 cases.

Dartmouth comes in with 75 cases up 28 or 59.6% which is 1385 per 100,000 cases.

Totnes had 139 cases which was up 50 that is a rise of 56.2% or 1557.6 per 100,000.

Chillington, Torcross and Stoke Fleming had 43 cases up 12 or 38.7% which is 754 per 100,000

Marldon, Stoke Gabriel and Kingswear had 75 cases a rise of 19 or 33.9% which is 985 cases per 100,000

Ivybridge had the lowest increase in the South Hams with 181 cases, a rise of 38 or 26.6% which is 1531.3 per 100,000.
