The Environment Agency has issued flood alerts across the South Hams as heavy rainfall hits the region.

The alerts, in place for South Devon, the River Dart area and from Start Point to Dawlish Warren are in force from Wednesday (October 30) evening to Thursday morning.

The Met Office issued two yellow weather warnings for heavy rain in the same period.

It predicts 40 to 60mm of rain could fall in South Devon, with forecasters saying flooding is possible.

Strong easterly winds are also predicted along the coastline.

The Environment Agency's full warning can be read below.

South Devon Rivers

“Flooding to low lying land and roads is possible on Wednesday evening and into Thursday morning,” the Environment Agency say.
