A 48-year-old man has been fined £173 for carrying out an assault at a supermarket.

Jason Moyle, of Jubilee Cottages, Avonwick, appeared before magistrates at Newton Abbot Court where he admitted assaulting Jonathan Carter by beating him at Tesco’s Lee Mill store on November 29 last year.

Moyle was ordered to pay £100 in compensation to his victim along with £85 in court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
