Five men and one woman have been injured after a “large-scale” brawl broke out at a pub in Totnes.

It happened outside the Lord Nelson Inn on Fore Street between 10pm and 10.30pm on Saturday, December 7.

Police say the fight started after a disagreement between two groups.

Two 22-year-old men from Paignton were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and supplying crack cocaine.

They have since been released under investigation pending further inquiries.

A force spokesperson said: “Police in Totnes are appealing for witnesses following a large-scale fight at a pub on Saturday, December 7.

“The incident happened between 10pm and 10.30pm at The Lord Nelson Inn on High Street in Totnes.

“Numerous people were injured as a result of the fight which took place after an altercation between two groups.

“Five men and one woman sustained injuries during the assault.

“Two men, both aged 22 and from Paignton, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and of supplying a Class-A drug – crack cocaine.

“They were released under investigation pending further inquiries.
