A 'potentially explosive device' has been found at a South Hams recycling centre.

Police in Kingsbridge said it was discovered at Torr Quarry at about 3pm today.

The Royal Navy bomb squad is currently on its way to the centre, a spokesman said.

Officers said the centre has been shut and will probably remain closed for the rest of the day.
