The family of Sean Doyle have received a letter from him, but are still worried and want to know where he is.
Susanna Doyle, Sean’s step-mum, said she received a cheque for his rent and a short note from him on Wednesday, posted from Canary Wharf in London, but is still no closer to knowing where he is.
“At least we know he’s alive”, Susanna said, “but he’s still missing, we don’t know where he is. The letter was posted from Canary Wharf but he could be anywhere.”
Susanna said “let us know you’re safe, you’re not in trouble” as they pleaded for information, just hours before they received the note. The note, she thinks, is Sean’s way of telling her he’s alive.
Sean Doyle went missing from his home in Kingsbridge on Tuesday, February 13. Police have him on CCTV getting on a train at Totnes towards Paddington but haven’t seen him since.
Susanna said: “We just want him to contact us and let us know he’s safe. You can come home if you want to, we’d love to have you back, but don’t worry about anything, you’re not in any trouble.”
Susanna said that Sean moved down to Kingsbridge from Manchester three years ago and has suffered from mental health issues. She said he hadn’t been happy recently, but that wasn’t out of the ordinary, and he’d told work friends he was going to London to look for work. He’d told other people he was going to see his mum in Manchester, but she hasn’t seen or heard from him either.
Susanna said what had worried her most was that he’d left his guitars behind, “he never goes anywhere without his guitars” she said.
“He might be anxious that he’s upset us, he’s an anxious person anyway, very deep thinking, but he’s a pure gentleman and would do anything for anyone”, she added.
Susanna is keen for people to share his story and photo on social media, especially anyone with friends or contacts in London.
Sean is described as white, around 6ft 1ins tall with a slim build, he has brown hair with shaved sides.
Sean was last seen approximately 10.40am on Tuesday, February 13, at the Creeks End in Kingsbridge wearing a dark green jacket with a grey lined hoody over a maroon hoody, jeans and dark boots.
Sean is also believed to be in possession of a dark coloured rucksack.
Anyone who has any information about Sean is urged to phone the police on 101 and quote log 511 of February 13, 2018.
