Debbie dominates titanic race

By Tim Leigh in Endurance Sports

South Hams teacher Debbie Burman showed she is a woman of many talents when she won the recent Cotswold 24-hour race at Cirencester Park.

Debbie, who is head of languages at Kevicc in Totnes managed to achieve her ambitious goal of completing 100 miles in the 24-hour time limit, leaving her five miles ahead of her nearest opponent.

The event involves going around a 9km loop as many times as you can, which Debbie did alongside friends from South Devon Athletic Club Nicky Washbrook and Steve Hoskins, who also set amazing personal bests by completing 80 miles and 100 miles respectively.
