Stranges combine skills

By Steve Peacock in Environment

An artist and a scientist have teamed up to create a unique Totnes exhibition.

Bees in a Landscape opens at the Birdwood House Gallery on Sunday, April 30, for seven days.

The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between south Devon painter Hazel Strange and scientist Philip Strange.

Hazel’s paintings of south west views will depict the local landscape in all its glory.

Alongside the paintings Philip’s photos will show some of the remarkable bees you might encounter in these locations.

Philip said: “We hope to make you aware of the variety, beauty and importance of these beneficial insects and to show how we can all support them.”
