Dangerous Dads get silly with science

By Toby Leigh in Entertainment

Buckfastleigh’s Dangerous Dads will be going ballistic when they and their youngsters take part in fun science experiments, including making water-powered rockets.

The Buckfastleigh/ Ashburton branch of the group will be in action

at Woodlanders on Saturday, March 25, from 1pm to 4pm.

Co-ordinator Neil Martin said: “At the Silly Science Day we’re going to be doing a range of science experiments using household items, such as bicarbonate of soda, vinegar, toothpaste and fizzy pop, as well as making five-minute ice-cream, a mini-lava lamp and building water-powered rockets and setting them off.

“Please bring a two-litre bottle of a cheap fizzy drink. The Silly Science event is open to all dads, male carers, uncles and granddads in the area with children aged up to 10.

“The cost is by donation and you don’t need to book, just turn up.

“Also, have a look at our website for the other great activities we have planned for the year.”
