Preparations are under way for the second Wool Gathering at Buckfastleigh.
All things wool will be celebrated with designers, makers, spinners, dyers, felters, weavers and breeders demonstrating and exhibiting at Buckfastleigh Town Hall on March 19, from 10am to 4pm.
They’ll also be a chance to try out weaving equipment; buy natural wools and fleeces; take part in workshops; and visit the cafe.
And this year Isabel Carlisle, from the Bioregional Learning Centre and Transition Town Network, will be joining in, to host a conversation about the future of a resilient wool community in the region.
Organiser Jobee Timms, of South Devon Wool Works, said: ‘Preparations are in full swing and I can’t help feeling how lucky we all are to live in this beautiful place with Dartmoor on our doorstep, particularly as the blossoms burst into bloom and little lambs start skipping about.’
She added: ‘We’re delighted Isabel is joining us. The conversation will be taking place at 2pm.’
