TWO fishermen suffered head and arm injuries in an accident on board a Brixham fishing boat.
The crewmen were hurt when heavy gear failed during a trawling voyage. Coastguards and paramedics were alerted and a coastguard helicopter scrambled to the scene.
A winchman and paramedic were lowered on to the boat from the helicopter before the vessel came into Brixham harbour.
Berry Head coastguard team was tasked to attend the fish quay to meet the boat.
Coastguards also set up a helicopter landing site up at Berry Head. The two fishermen were later taken to Torbay Hospital for treatment. The incident took place around 10.30pm on January 31.
