Chiefs forced to wait in bid to seal double

By Tim Leigh in Rugby

Last Saturday’s rearranged fixture between Ilfracombe and Totnes RFC in Tribute Devon One was called off for a second time on Thursday due to a waterlogged pitch.

Totnes were hoping to win their first double of the season.

Totnes are next in action at home on Saturday, February 11, when the visitors are New Cross RFC from Newton Abbot who are the current holders of the Dave Butt Memorial Trophy.

Totnes will be hoping to avenge an earlier close defeat away from home.

This match is also a memorial game for ex-club captain Mike Langer. The game kicks off at 2.30pm and everbody is welcome to support this game.

The Chiefs have been drawn away in the first round of the Devon Junior Cup against Plymouth side Old Techs.

The game is due to be played on Saturday, March 25. The competition runs until the finals on April 22.
