Totnes RFC’s under 13s were invited to send a squad to the Keyham all-weather pitch in Plymouth, to take part in the West Devon South West regional trials on Saturday, January 28.
A total of 55 under 13 players attended, with teams being drawn up from across the region. These teams included Newton Abbot, Torquay, Brixham and Kingsbridge.
As a result of a strong performance by the Totnes team, two up and coming players, George Tredinnick and Kealan Venning, have been invited to train with the Exeter Chiefs juniors.
One of the Totnes under 13s coaches, Luke Collings, said: ‘Considering that the Totnes youngsters were up against much stronger sides, they all put in a great performance at Plymouth.
‘This is shown by two of our team, George and Kealan, being invited to train at Exeter Chiefs.
‘The parents and club are all very proud of the whole under 13s side.
‘Totnes would like to thank our sponsors SCP Building products, Tranquill Massage and Ramsay McGhee Training Services Ltd for their support.’
