Driver’s ban and curfew

A 24-year-old man from Marldon who as almost three times over the drink drive limit when he was involved in an accident, has been banned from driving for three years.

Ellis Boot, of Meadow Park, Marl-don, was made the subject of a community order requiring him to comply with a curfew at his home for eight weeks.

Boot appeared before magistrates at Torquay where he admitted driving on January 4 while over the drink drive limit.

A breath test showed he had 100 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.

Boot also admitted damaging a wall outside 40 St Marychurch. Torquay and failing to stop after an accident.

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
